Bringing Corporate Values to Life: Reitmeier Featured in Construction Executive Magazine

We’re proud to continue to be considered a thought leader in our approach to living our values and strategic planning. In the Jan/Feb issue of Construction Executive, Reitmeier was featured in their articleSet the Tone with Strategic Planning: Insights on Bringing Corporate Values and Goals to Life Every Year

The article details the story of how our president, Jeff Nusz, and leadership team put into place regular strategic planning to set initiatives and goals that advance our core values.

From the article:

“The four-member executive team comes up with a theme for the year and sets four to six initiatives that are broken down into action items with a champion tied to each.”

“…initiatives have included converting field staff to tablets (reducing 80 percent of the company’s paper usage) and pursuing B corporation certification, which acknowledges firms that voluntarily meet rigorous standards for social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. Only about 2,600 companies globally have earned the certification—including Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s and Seventh Generation—and Reitmeier is the only U.S. mechanical contractor to do so.”

“Typically one HVAC contractor is just like the next,” Nusz says. “I didn’t think that was good enough. I thought we had the opportunity to make an impact on the community, the environment and the welfare of those who choose to work here.”

The entire team at Reitmeier is proud to live out our mission of Balance and be featured for our great work in Construction Executive.

Thank you to all of our clients who partner with us in sustainability—we look forward to continuing to expand this work in the future!
