When it comes to optimizing the performance of your commercial HVAC system, there is nothing that beats regular preventative maintenance. It keeps your tenants comfortable and satisfied, and it maximizes the life of your HVAC equipment.
Unfortunately, sometimes you need more than preventative maintenance…a LOT more.
Perhaps you have an older HVAC system that needs serious recommissioning – or maybe you are involved in an entire building retrofit. Or you’re managing the HVAC strategy for an entirely new structure.
These types of large capital projects require an entirely different set of skills. Reitmeier provides them. In fact, we can take on the most complex projects – our Special Projects team takes great pride in doing things that other HVAC companies can’t or won’t. For example, we are delighted to work in occupied facilities including offices, retail, civic, multi-family, industrial, educational. We can support you every step of the way on the biggest and most challenging projects.
Whatever you need, Reitmeier’s experts have the skills, insight, and resources to achieve your facility goals. Our dedicated Special Projects team is committed to minimizing your risk and time horizon. From beginning to end, we take a strategic approach to ensure that your commercial HVAC equipment delivers sustainable, efficient performance and superior comfort over the life of your system.
Types of projects and facility challenges that the Reitmeier Special Projects Division can help you with include:
- Design build – HVAC design, permitting, project management, and installation
- Building retrofit – HVAC equipment relocation, rezoning, redesign, and additions
- Orchestrating free Energy Trust of Oregon building studies
- High-efficiency HVAC system upgrades
- Refrigerant conversions
- Turnkey equipment installation and replacement
- Enhancement or replacement of piping, ductwork, and energy management systems
Intelligent solutions to HVAC systems
When we start working with you on a project, our process starts by finding out what’s most important to you. We conduct a comprehensive interview with your team to understand your goals, concerns, priorities, and budget.
In addition, our Special Project team takes a tour of the facility so we can see it first hand. Next, we conduct a comprehensive energy audit. This allows the Reitmeier team to identify immediate opportunities for improving energy efficiency to realize costs savings from your HVAC operations.
With our proprietary pre-installation process, Reitmeier calculates the performance of your HVAC system. We will perform all building load calculations, duct sizing calculations, equipment efficiency selections, equipment controls selection, engineer certified plans, municipality approval, and permits. Our expertise and modeling capabilities mean we’re able to predict results right down to energy consumption and cost savings – so we can tailor your design/build solution to meet your unique needs.
Reitmeier has a long-standing relationship with the Energy Trust of Oregon (ETO). Whenever we start an HVAC project, we typically bring in the ETO to do an energy study, as well as bringing an ETO representative to sit with the business owners and talk about the project goals. From there, our energy-saving experts will take this information and create a report on how much how much we will save you, as well as how long it will take to pay the energy savings back.
If you are re-commissioning/retrofitting a building, the Energy Trust will come in and actually provide cash incentive dollars for making older buildings more efficient. These incentives reduce your upfront costs and make energy-efficient upgrades more affordable.
From the initial survey to project completion, you can rely on the technical expertise of Reitmeier’s team of certified technicians and project management specialists to protect your systems, improve efficiencies and reduce costs, as well as maintaining (and enhancing) tenant safety and comfort.
